Adding items to Babylist registry: step-by-step

Adding items to your Babylist registry is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step 1: Create a Babylist account

Head to and tap “Start your Babylist”. From there, you’ll choose your adventure (pregnant, adoption, surrogate, trying) and enter the expected arrival date.

  • Pregnant: enter the expected arrival date
  • Surrogacy: enter the expected arrival date
  • Adoption: enter the baby’s age when they’ll arrive
  • Trying: Are you a first time parent? How are you feeling about it all?

Step 2: Add the Babylist button

Next, you’ll be directed to add the Babylist button to your bookmarks bar. To do so;

  1. Make sure your Bookmark/Favorites bar is visible (if not, see below)
  2. Drag the “Add to Babylist” button to your Bookmark/Favorites bar

  • Chrome: In Chrome's top menu, go to View and make sure there's a checkmark next to Always Show Bookmarks Bar.
  • Firefox: In Firefox's menu, go to View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar and make sure there's a checkmark next to Always Show.
  • Safari: In Safari's menu, go to View > Show Favorites Toolbar (if it says "Hide Favorites Toolbar" you're all set).
  • Internet Explorer: Right-click on the top side of the Internet Explorer window and make sure that Favorites bar is checked.

Step 3: Find and add items!

Once you've added the Babylist button to your Bookmarks/Favorites you can start adding items to your registry! To do so;

  1. Go to the desired product page URL
  2. Click on the Babylist button on your Bookmarks/Favorites Bar
    1. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to add the item to your registry.
  3. Add the item to your registry
    1. You can choose the quantity of the item and add any notes about the item. Click "Add to Babylist" to add the item to your registry.
